QM Series Airflow Mill

Airflow mill system consists of air compressor, air storage tank, cold dryer (including filters), airflow milling mainframe, high-precision classifier, cyclone collector, pulse bag filter, high-pressure induced draft fan, control cabinet, plus unloading and other systems.

Operating principle of airflow mill :

Compressed air after freezing, filtering, drying, through the nozzle to form a supersonic air jet into the crushing chamber, so that the material is fluidized, the accelerated material in several nozzles of the jet stream convergence point, resulting in intense collision, friction, shear and to achieve ultra-fine particle pulverization. The crushed material is transported to the impeller grading area by the rising airflow, under the action of centrifugal force of the grading wheel and the pumping force of the fan, the separation of coarse and fine powder is realized, the coarse powder returns to the crushing room to continue to be crushed according to its own gravity, and the qualified fine powder enters into the cyclone collector along with the airflow, and the microfine dust is collected by the bag dust collector, and the purified gas is discharged by the induced draft fan.

Application Fields:

Hard materials: quartz sand, garnet, silicon carbide.

QM series can ultra-fine pulverize quartz sand, garnet, and other hard materials with Moh's hardness above 7. Its low-temperature pulverization, high-purity operation, and high processing finish, as well as easy cleaning of the machine, make the airflow mill series ideal for fine pulverization of the above materials. According to the principle of airflow classification, it can be equipped with 1-3 classifier heads according to the user's needs, and a one-time collection of 1 to 2 finished product segments. 

Abrasives, Refractories and Heat Sensitive Materials

QM series operated under supersonic airflow can ultra-fine process hard materials with Moh's hardness of seven or more, the application of fluidized bed crushing and vertical turbine classifier makes the equipment wear extremely small. Classifying wheel speed can be adjusted, crushing parameters can be optimized selection and the multi-classifier combination can be completed at a time several particle size sections of the narrow band classification. Typical products are silicon metal, diamond, silicon carbide, adamantine, alumina-vanadium earth, boron carbide, tungsten carbide, special ceramics, and so on.
